The free, fun treasure hunt to capture a heart!A simple, treasure hunt was created along Chandos, Brighton, Lansdown, Stanley, Roslyn and Kensington Rds, to ran for 2 weeks from 1st Feb until Valentine's Day 14th Feb. This community event took place in 2010 / 2011 / 2012 and may be back again!
Please note... The Lansdown Rd BS6 website no longer exists The 'streethearts' - just small stones etched with a sparkling heart - were accessible from the pavement, although not on the pavement, and most were within easy reach of the smallest of hands. If you were lucky enough to find one, you had three choices of what to do. You could keep that knowledge safe and leave it in situ for others to locate. You could take it away as a souvenir of the neighbourhood. Or you could trade it in for a free biscuit at the Bread Shop or a single handmade chocolate from Rubicon Cafe, both on Chandos Road. See what others said... A "delightful idea"...see what else was said by 'Bristol Culture' "We thought this was such a lovely idea. Thank you so much! We braved the rain this afternoon after a yummy hot choc from Rubicon and found three on the adjacent roads from Chandos between 4 of us! We took them into Rubicon and received some scrumptious chocolates."... One happy hunter "Oh my gosh, this is such a cute idea! I'm definitely going to go and have a look tomorrow :) Thanks for brightening up my day!"... Another seeker |
